Hoedang Culture Festival
Ulleungdo is a birth place of Hoedang Son Gyu Sang who was a leader of Jingakjong of Korea Buddhism. This festival was designed to celebrate the 100th year since his birth and the first festival was held in 2001 and held in August annually by Jingakjong of Korea Buddhism.
Major events are Film Madang, Concert Madang, Culture Experience Madang, Appendent events(exhibition, medical service, pilgrimage to the Holy Land).
